GLORIA CARRASQUERO
Gloria is a Canadian and Venezuelan lawyer. She began her legal career after graduating in Caracas, Venezuela. In 2010, she immigrated to Canada with her husband and three children and began the process of obtaining accreditation to practice law in her new country. In 2017, she entered the Master of Laws (LL.M.) program at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, and graduated in 2018. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019.
Before moving to Canada, Gloria worked for many years in Venezuela as a private lawyer and university professor, teaching Real Estate Law. She also served as Chief Attorney at one of the main Land Registries in Caracas, linked to the Ministry of Justice.
In Canada, Gloria has been invited to speak at various events about the challenges faced by workers and members of the Hispanic community. She has also led professional education sessions to inform workers about their labor and immigration rights in Ontario and across Canada.
Gloria has presented on various radio and television, being invited to speak on immigration issues, employment law, and labor rights.
Gloria is committed to social justice and community engagement. She speaks Spanish and English. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Women’s Law Association.
